Garvan has its roots in the true passion for sound and loudspeakers of its two co-founders, Andrea Martelli and Roberto Gaudenzi. Because our products are completely handmade and the materials used are carefully chosen, we can ensure that the quality of our loudspeakers is extremely high and that each of them is unique. Each and every one of our products is carefully built and tested, so that we can supply longlasting, high quality products with a five-year guarantee. Garvan offers truly Italian products in design and building fashion.

Beside good designing of the product, it is also important that the loudspeaker is integrated into the surrounding environment and aesthetically pleasing. Each product can be finished in several different ways. Upon request we offer customised loudspeakers, whose design can be provided by architects and other professionals.

Sound measurements are performed in anechoic rooms and listening tests are carried out in environments that are similar to those where the loudspeakers are going to be installed. These tests are of fundamental importance for the proper designing and building of loudspeakers.

Building a high-quality crossover is of fundamental importance for the whole speaker-project. The coils are carefully chosen so as to ensure extremely low sound distortion. The capacitors are made of high-quality polyester and the metal push-connectors ensure that the cable is firmly fixed.

The tweeters used for the vast majority of our loudspeakers have a silk dome. This clearly shows that we choose valuable materials for our loudspeakers, so as to ensure a perfect reproduction of medium and high frequencies, such as human voice and stringed instruments.

The woofers used for the vast majority of our speakers have a cellulose cone and a rubber suspension, so as to ensure the perfect reproduction of medium and low frequencies. The spider is made of a Nomex® membrane, and this ensures that the loudspeakers will keep their features intact in the long term.
