Amazon Music now offers HD music pieces!
Finally available in Italy: more than 60 million songs in HD quality, 16 bit 44.1 Khz (CD quality) and millions of songs in ULTRA HD quality up to 24 bit 192 Khz.
The format is Flac, a codec to compress the file without any loss in terms of quality.
This service satisfies the requests of those who wishes to listen to music in all its fullness including all frequencies and nuances and are not satisfied with compressed formats, that inevitably lose a lot of information.
This service is added to other HD music services such as Tidal.
To enjoy the high-quality content from your computer you need to download the player available for Windows and Mac. Obviously, the Apps for Android and Apple are available too.
During the streaming, the quality may vary depending on your bandwidth, but you can choose to download the song to your device, to fully enjoy it offline.
The playback quality depends on the device through which you are playing the music. For example, if you are listening to Michael Jackson’s song “Smooth criminal” on Amazon Music you have the choice between 24 bit / 96 kHz. However, if you decide to listen to this song through translational speakers from a pc, using the integrated sound card, your will probably listen to it at 24 bit / 48 kHz or even lower.
